I believe this is the most recent thing the AFI awarded as a top thing. Most of the rest of the top things from the 30s to 60s.

Beautiful curved horizon and great gradients, though the perspective is confusing -- I don't think think it visually makes sense to see a boat up close and then an island then space between that island and then land. It's like the approach a plane would see, like 200 ft in the air, but with giant boats in front. Anyways I like it, though whatever white substance, cotton maybe, they are carrying in the boat sometimes looks like a pyramid stack of dead bodies. It's in the stark white that he uses for human skin, so, Hannibal Lecter's lunch? And the guy on the boat is mooning us.
So a solid middle of the road Hokusai.

Re: The 12 Hour Deathless Thread
W is so unlike every other letter, for good and bad.
It's only one that's multiple syllables. Did you know it takes longer to say George W Bush than to say George Walker Bush. Nice try saving time, losers!
It's the only one that's a subletter of another letter, even though it sounds nothing like a U. In fact, languages like spanish call it a "double ve" aka Double V, which makes much more sense! Germans pernounce Ws with Vs, so doubly doubly makes sense so.
It also doesn't make the sound of the letter in the name of the letter.
To solve all these, it should be called a "wee"

Re: The 12 Hour Deathless Thread
I searched for this and didn't find it and now feel cheated. In the process in the second boat from the bottom on the right I discovered something that looks like a skeleton zombie fishing with its arm dipping into the water? Something is going on with these boats.

At the beginning of this universe, there were no galaxies, stars or planets, no life or civilizations, merely a uniform, radiant fireball filling all of space.
