It's a lot, but California is a big state, and the article really slides around as far as dates and connections.

Once again, though, if she suffers for it, it's only because there's accountability expected in one party. If she was a republican, it wouldn't matter as much. (Especially since some of the cited cases seem to be male/male)

Bonus quest: Since the republicans are never (and I know what that means) going to come around on the facts for high crimes, etc... Some democrat is going to need to coalesce a tight, convincing narrative for impeachment that will have to force them either to positively accept to condemn the behavior. This frog boiling, ho hum, every politician lies, circus needs to be brought to and end. Then, maybe, we can get to an election with less panic chemistry.

It doesn't make sense to endorse Bernie Sanders until you know who he wants for his running mate. He will be 79 years old when he takes office. The DSA could be handing power to someone like Kamala Harris. It's dangerous.

I wish some on the DSA left could see clearly that, although the US has been beyond-terrible to Latin America and especially socialist governments within, that doesn't mean that Venesuela's socialist-turned-authoritarian regime doesn't absolutely suck.

I feel like the media is bored/frustrated with the whole Trump era and has now seized on any little bullshit with the nascent Democratic presidential race as fodder for expanded bullshit. This is how they destroy things - not because they're fake news, but because they seem to have no sense of the larger picture and how their many little choices cause real harm. It's like a dog chasing a fly this way and that, oblivious of everything else going on. There's a lack of intellectual curiosity about what is happening in the world that might be interesting product for their audience. The big media journalists live in a kind of coastal bubble that prevents them from realizing whatever is hoppin on their DC/NYC focused twitters is of zero interest or importance to most people in the country.

Meanwhile, administration has shown itself very chill with the Saudi's assassinating a Washington Post journalist in the most horrifying way, and continues to call the press enemy of the people. I don't think he's joking, you guys. He's not joking.

Media companies in the U.S. do whatever gets them the most viewers, the most clicks, the most whatever metric they're using... whatever makes the most money.

The only major news organization with overarching guiding principles that cause them to occasionally forego the cash grab in favor of some moral stance is Fox News.

There are definitely other things that might be interesting to some consumers, but what they're doing now is what draws THE MOST consumers.
