not sure what a hot take is, but from what I have seen here it is a statement about a movie designed to provoke a response and subsequent argument.

If that is the case...

My hot take is that there are only 3 Star Wars movies. The prequels, Sequels and stand-alones are just revisionist drivel and in the case of the Sequels are agenda driven, not story driven and therefore simply propaganda. A proverb of sorts if you will, that people will indeed take an organic and good thing and destroy it by trying to recreate what made it special in the first place.

The prequels and sequels are the high fructose corn syrup of Star Wars movies...and they are killing you slowly.

It's a Wonderful Life is a horrible Christmas movie. Potter still walks away with the $8000 with no penalty. Bedford Falls is out all that cash. Jimmy Stewart is a coward who, rather than face a scandal, attempts suicide. The movie only gained its beloved status because of its continued television airings, hearkening back to a nostalgic idea of what the ideal American Christmas series should be... one firmly stuck in the 50's and 60's.

The only thing that really bothers me about BlackKklansman is it kinda takes place in one anachronistic historical period of The Entire 70s. Seems to be set during the end of the Vietnam War and also the late 70s at the same time.
