Movie Hot Takes

This thread is for: (1) your hot takes on movies; and (2) arguing with people about their hot takes on movies.

Hot take: Suicide Squad is a more enjoyable movie than Rogue One, even though Rogue was has better acting, cinematography and dialogue.

Hot Take: Shakespeare in Love is a terrible movie and Gwyneth Paltrow only has marginal acting abilities, on the same level as Harrison Ford.

Hot Take: Top 3 Christmas movies- A Christmas Story; Elf; Scrooged. Die Hard is better than all those movies, but doesn't qualify for the category.

Shyamalan's The Village was actually pretty good.

The first Cloverfield movie is absolutely terrible, the worst thing everybody involved in it has been a part of.

Joe Dirt is a dark comedic masterpiece.

True Detective Season 2 was good, including Vince Vaughn's performance.

Any Given Sunday is the best football movie.

If Black Panther came out when Obama was president it would rightly be judged as average super hero fare.
