My kid is too much for me. I was sitting here making my case via youtube videos that Ariana Grande is not, in fact, a great singer. So first I played some Aretha, and then we got to this and he was transfixed. We marvel at her lovely bead hair, which literally nobody else including Beyonce could manage to pull off. He stared at this and decided, this is what mom means - YES, AT LAST! VINDICATION! - by having a Strong Voice. This is not an Ariana Grande voice. He gets it. Thank you, he gets it. Then we watched a Celine Dion video and he was like, it is very beautiful - her voice is lighter and pretty, but still strong in that way. yes child. We Are Communicating At Last on this.

I think after listening to Chaka Khan's Like Sugar and Janelle Monae and Solange 1000 times on YouTube it recommended this song and now I'm hitting repeat on it too. Also her other songs and videos are great too. They are all very sexily suggestive, lol, but it's so worth it!

Love for Dirty Computer and Masseduction makes me so content. Anyways, I will be listening to the top albums regularly until the show, here they are:

Cardi B - Invasion of Privacy - I've listened four times now, it's fun and catchy as hell. It's a great pop album, and probably will win it all.
Brandi Carlile - By the Way I Forgive You - looking forward to listening
Drake - Scorpion - Haven't listened yet, but if I must...
H.E.R - H.E.R - Hadn't heard of this, totally going in with no bias
Post Malone - Beerbongs & Bentleys - Listened to a few songs on this. It's not my thing, at least not yet. Will give it another college try.
Janelle Monae - Dirty Computer - Listened prob 7 times now. My favorite as of now.
Kacey Musgraves - Golden Hour - Listened once, liked it, but these albums really show themselves ones the hooks get me around listen 3, so we'll see, I'm optimistic about this one.
Kendrick Lamar & Various Artists - Black Panther - Liked the few songs I've heard on this, but I'd be shocked if, after four toweringly great albums, that they'd give the award to him for this one.
