So when you guys listen to music, this is the majority (or at least plurality) of what you listen to?

not really, but that era had a all kinds of music coming out all the time...a smorgasbord of music

True. But Pete has an awesome point: if you want a huge selection, technology has assisted in creating a huge volume and variety of music in the last 2 decades.

But how much of it is better than Dvorak, Sibelius, Puccini (Tosca alone!!), Elgar, Brahms, Faure, Mahler (symphony 2!), Bartok, Debussy, Saint-Saens, Rachmaninoff, Scott Joplin's Maple Leaf Rag aaaaand:
You've been a good old wagon but you done broke down!!!

I like my years the more I think about it; this surprises me because I had been hoping for a serendipitous Beethoven/Mozart overlap!

New artists have released a multitude of versions of all of those things recently.

Oh I see, you mean if some orchestra does x in 2015, it counts. Eh, ok, but...

Does that work for everything? So I can say 2007 to 2017 and then still get to listen to Dwight Yoakum because he still has CD out?

Only if it's original release falls in that decade.
