The two remaining cats have started eating a little bit. The one that hadn't moved at all, has now moved around a bit; I caught her laying on a towel we had wrapped the deceased cat in, and laying in the deceased cat's bed for a little while.

So my friend is going through a DUI deal so I pick him up and drop him off when he wants to hang out, I was doing just that later Thursday night close to midnight when I got a text msg from a chica I used to kick it with that she was at the Casino with a friend and they both wanted to drink and hang out and it would be cool if I gave them a ride.

I was already in town so sure why not, I drive to the Casino, pick them up where I'm informed the person that I know, can't hang out, she needs to be dropped off but her friend needs a safe space to crash to stay away from some dangerous dude she's hiding from. I was confused but kind of trapped so I dropped off the person I know and started driving home with a stranger who after some small talk became perfectly clear that she was

A.Blasted out of her mind on chemicals

B.Homeless

I kind of suggest that yo it would be cool if you wanted to grab a shower and freshen up but I inquired if she had other options for a place to crash at in the town I live in, she said she did and I was cool, I take her back to my place, she jumps in the shower, 20 minutes later opens the door and asks for some help shutting off the water and I walk in and she's topless and making romantic moves, she had nice boobs and was super cute but naw I can't. I'm not even sure she remembers who I am, so I help get her dressed like a child, pack her a bag filled with bottled waters and snacks and drop her off in downtown.

When I get back I decide hey why not clean the shower, good enough time as any when I find a used feminine hygiene product in my shower, my reward for a good deed or my punishment for replying to texts from demonic females so late. you decide.

And now I have been given a small pig ...that isn't code for anything. Someone near my inlaws owned 3 of them, but their dog killed one and wanted to give the others away. So far the little fella has climbed onto the picnic table at my inlaws and eaten all the tomatoes that were being ripened for canning...about 100....talk about a tummy ache. I am sure he just nibbled on all them.

So, that is how I came to own a pig....now to name the lil' fella. going to make a thread

Thanks for being kind to a stranger, but also get yourself some bleach. Things like worms can grow in your shower, for real. I don't even want to think about it.

We could send him to sensitive enemy bases to steal the passwords. If I need to know, say, how to get into my teenagers phone or some sub-accounts, he's like a walking password app. And he definitely would order stuff, if he thought he could intercept the boxes in time.

Part of me is trying to brainwash my child into that career, which is admirable and lucrative, but another part fights back and says no.

Within the next week my wife and I will:

1. Move our son into his apartment for his (1st) senior year of college. (Yeah, he's not gonna graduate this year, thanks to the wonderful program he's in. He had YET ANOTHER required class cancelled this fall due to lack of enrollment, which means he'll have to try to take it again another semester. I don't know if it's one that's only offered in the Fall semester or not... The enrollment at his college keeps dropping and the Engineering program will NOT run a class if it doesn't have the minimum number of students, even if the students signed up for it need the class to graduate and are seniors... The bastards! [Very technically my wife and daughter will be doing this. I'll be at home, not lifting heavy things and going to work on Friday while they do the moving in thing...]

2. Celebrate our 30th Wedding Anniversary on Monday.

3. Move our daughter into her dorm room for her freshman year of college. Loyola of Chicago has a very organized method of moving people in. You are assigned a move-in date and time and I expect we will only be allowed to have our car around on campus during that time period. They have to organize it pretty strictly, since they're moving around 4,400 students into a densely populated, urban neighborhood over the course of a few days.

We discussed it yesterday and decided: we feel old...

I lay here exhausted, saucer-eyed, trying to determine if the critter moving above the ceiling is also above or below the roof. This was a poor week for me to be left in charge of the household alone all week, a poor choice of week in which to make rash decisions to leap out ahead of fears, a bad week to ruminate on anything at all. The car broke down, work is an exercise in bailing water with a leaky bucket, I loathe myself in full, people are falling apart and taking my stomach lining with them on the ride, and now there is a Critter crawling up above. If it is a raccoon... I give up.

A friend of mine's 11-year-old daughter was diagnosed with cancer the on Tuesday.

Oh my God, why does that have to happen to children? Not like it's a less horrible diagnosis for anyone, but so awful when a child has to go through it. I hope it can be treated.
