We only played one game, but it was very fun and extremely satisfying.
Had three hardcore tabletop gamers. Five minutes of intro and rules, and they were immediately into it. These are people who are very comfortable, so there was a lot of trash-talk around the table. They got the spirit of it.
First thing noted: consistency of experience. The game experience they got felt very much like our last few playtests.
Jared played Poseidon with Argus (water).
Jake played Hermes with Heracles (forest).
April played Aphrodite with Medusa (mountain).
Time markers:
Rounds 1-2 -- 9 minutes
Rounds 3-4 -- 11 min
Rounds 5-6 -- 20 min
Rounds 7-8 -- 7 min
Rounds 9-10 -- 10 min
Rounds 11-12 -- 11 min
Total: 1 hr, 8 min
Final score 3-3-2 (I called 2 pts for carrying the ball into your goal. So it was six total goals.)
NOTES
Hex cost: terrain costs while moving into a hex, but many specials cost when moving out? Do we need to do anything about this?
We still require all hero actions to be taken as a group, and you can't play a god power in the middle. Is there any good reason to keep this rule?
I need to add 2 more desert tokens and one more marsh to the print and play. What other tokens did I miss for duplicates?
Also, need to clearly label all tokens (even the obvious ones). We have so many specials, there's no way to make all of them obvious to all people.
Also, because specials are unique to each god, I should redo them to put color coded borders on them to match their deity.
So much shit on the field! Poseidon especially has so much STUFF. It wasn't overwhelming in a three player match, but we need to think of ways we might clear more stuff from the board.
H-PRI-001. Noah was flipping through Hera cards. He says the wording is that you can only use Hero powers used in the previous round. Should it be previous turn? Since your last turn? Did he read it wrong? He also noted that this card means you can virtually never throw.
Hey! Can you voluntarily drop the Godball into an adjacent hex? Obviously, I think the answer should be yes. Should it be a free action? A move action? I personally say free at any time. Guy had the ball, and then suddenly found himself with an advantageous kick blessing and no way to drop the ball to kick it.
P-PRI-011. The horse. Can you move the horse multiple times on the same turn? If so, this is pretty OP. On the other hand, if it's just once, then it's not terribly useful.
The game ended in a tie. This was considered VERY unsatisfying. They would love to have a way to settle ties. I suggested leg-wrestling. Maybe sudden death? Just keep playing, and the first person who has more points than anyone else wins? Maybe just leave them frustrated?

There might be a good reason coming up for separation of GP and HA. I had suggested to E just the other day -- how to change grab. I had suggested that grab reduces hero to a single action...only if the hero is still grabbed at the beginning of actions phase! This means you can use GP to separate your hero from the grabber, then you can have a full range of actions.
Note: under this construction of grab, you cannot move and rest, because that's two actions. Just a thought.
But outside that, that is something to consider as well.

But even if they weren't required to be separate, you could still do exactly that. Unless I am misunderstanding your point.
On the other hand, E mentioned your new idea on grab, and I really like it.

"What are you going to do?"
"I'm going to roll an 8."

They scored two goals each. Poseidon and Aphrodite each threw one in and ran one in. Both of Hermes' were thrown.
These players enjoyed the gotcha aspect of the game. They took pleasure in making life difficult for each other.
Can't concentrate right now, but I'm organizing my thoughts on the substantive changes I think are important in the next edit. I'll be back later.
