I'm looking at maps of ancient Greece. Mount Olympus is close enough to center to call it good. Now I want names for the six corners of our map. They don't have to be 100% geographically accurate, but close would be nice.
On the south side of the board, I'm thinking Sparta to the west and Minoa to the east. The far east could be Pergamon or Ionia or even Persia. North side can be Macedonia in the west and Thrace to the east. Not sure about the far west... probably Epirus or Corcyra. But I'd kinda like something more recognizable.
All of these are open. For example we could go with major temples or important landmarks or something. Just brainstorming.

Re: [GB] Name the corners
For right now, starting with the top left corner and moving clockwise, the starting hexes are named:
Illyria
Thrace
Troy
Marathon
Ithaca
Magna Graecia
I'm open to suggestions for later versions, but this will cover it for now.
