1. How should the map be marked?

2. Am I missing anything?

3. Colors?

Currently we use green, purple, blue, brown, yellow, red. But the colors will not be god-specific, so is there a better combo right now?

I'm hoping to eventually adjust them to be colorblind friendly, bit that's going to take a lot of fiddling and double-checking with a colorblind filter. So for now, I just want them not to be too jarring.

Heracles. Fists. Pantheon.

Clue in ancient Greece.

I know there's some nice tools out there that makes sure contrast is good.

Of course. Other thing. We still need to figure out scoring criterion, but that's last.

That's handy, Flame, and I found some other good tools as well. But it's still going to take a lot of work and fiddling to het something that works for the Greek theme, meets all the hue/contrast requirements, and is aesthetically pleasing. I was having a TON of fun playing with colors and seeing what I could make, but I didn't make a lot of progress, and I realized it was becoming one of my rabbit-hole obsessions that distracts me from more pressing work. I have to put it off for now or I'll never get anything else done.

But if someone else is better at it than I, and can come up with a great set of six, I'm happy to let them do it. Otherwise, my plan is to wait until we have Kickstarter money to hire a graphic designer.

I have a sister in law who might have some ideas...I could ask her... (she's a graphic designer for non-profits)

Note: only for ideas. If there are to be any work, we likely will need someone else.

That would be cool.

I'm telling you though, I could spend 12 hours straight just plugging colors into this stuff. It's hypnotic.

We need a flock of sheep token. And I found the rainbow portal, it's a Hermes thing.

(Reading the rest. I'm doing this whilst I'm in between cues during my show, so I can't be more in depth, apologies!)

6 cards are left.

3 Aphrodite Specials
3 Hera cards (2 Primary, 1 Secondary (her secondary seem to be LEGENDS that are her way of achieving some of the Blessings she lacks because of her focus on curses. The downside for her is that others can use them, too. Which I kind of dig.)

Map. Done.

It's busy, but it highlights all the things we want highlighted right now. We can figure out a more subtle way to indicate all this later, but it works for now.

Dave, there's a hi-res version of this in the Godball folder.

I now have the graphics for everything except the miscellaneous tokens, and I've opened up another thread to get people to do that work for me.

Now I'll focus on the printable card decks, and after that, we only have to write the rules. Only.

I think that's so pretty! Can I make one request, or at least open the discussion for one thing? Can the Pillars on the board be faded out a bit? Like a soft grey? I really like that they are there and indicate where to put the component. I like it a lot. But since the pillars are going to be potentially moving, I think that it might cause a distraction in the later game. Thoughts?

I love the colors, too and how clear everything is.

Good thinking on the pillar markers.

Mike has been amazing, everybody. Simply amazing. (Awesome is reserved for DMDarcs, but if it weren't Mike would also be awesome.)

Sorry I haven't popped in in awhile. It was quiet here for a stretch and then I stopped checking in because it was quiet.

While you're drafting printable sheets, how hard would it be to make a (alternate) version where each deck was laid out like this instead, with no spacing between cards? Just as a single contiguous image. Aspect ratio and card/image size doesn't matter just as long as the cards are laid out in a grid. The full grid doesn't have to be filled out either, just as long as it's one or two decks to an image (technically this isn't even a requirement either).

Likewise, a high-res board that isn't broken into chunks would be nice too. Both of these materials would make it easy for me to create a Tabletop Simulator version and run some playtests independently.

(Also I may have accidentally requested edit access to something-or-other while looking for the old PnP stuff. Ignore that.)

When we have the new version ready, I can give you access to all the original graphics. The map will be all in one piece. All the cards and tokens and boards will be individual files (for the most part).

I might be able to put together a 6x5 array of cards for each deck with just a few minutes work. We'll see. I'll keep you posted.
