... Where Godball was instead played by robotic drones and the Gods were their mechanics. Everything was the same except that it was technology themed instead of Greek God-y.

There was an article published YEARS ago about what Magic: The Gathering would look like if it had been a sci-fi/fantasy game rather than a straight-up fantasy... your dream reminds me of that
