Items from Ordikon

The items that were gathered from Ordikon, the metal-clad mage, are as follows:

Mithril Quarterstaff - a +2 Quarterstaff which provides a +2 bonus to Intelligence. It also allows for the casting of the following spells:

Bull's Strength - 1 charge
Enlarge Person - 1 charge
Telekinesis - 3 charges
Flesh To Stone - 4 charges

Rod of Mineral and Metal Detection
Cloak of Resistance +1
Pearl Of Power - 2nd level
2 pouches of diamond dust

Dothan has laid claim to the Quarterstaff. I don't believe that anyone else has claimed the items. I suspect that one of the casters who heals could make the best use of the Pearl. The diamond dust we should hold in reserve for the party for castings of Resurrection or things of that ilk.

Good idea. I was thinking that Anna might want the pearl, but a non-spontaneous healer would be a good choice. An extra 2nd level healing spell never hurts... literally... unless you've got a Negative Energy Affinity, that is...

As a player, I feel like Anna often lays claim to any items even obliquely related to spellcasting, and MORE than half the group are spellcasters of one sort or another. Also, 2nd level spells are rarely a slot that Anna uses up completely, while Cure Moderate is probably used MUCH more often by our healers.

That was my meta take on it after the knee jerk reaction of "OH... that's probably something we should give to Anna" as well... Kind of like, "OH! Give Anna more spells, great! ... wait... more 2nd level spells? Hmmm... nevermind... who else can use this?"

If it was a 5th level or 6th level Pearl, I'd give serious consideration to claiming it or selling it outright, but a 2nd level Pearl is going to be way more useful for the casters who cast a ton of 2nd level spells or the casters for whom spellcasting is a secondary class power.

Eldthor could certainly make use of the pearl, since it would allow him to recast 2nd level spells from either his ranger or his druid class. And since most of the buffs are 2nd level spells for those classes (bear's endurance, cat's grace, etc.), that would give him an extra buff each day. But it's not something I've been pining for, so if someone else wants dibs, they're welcome to it. The others who could use it seem to be Hal, or possibly Dwyn (not sure if she has 2nd level cleric spells or not), or Anna. We've already discussed its limited use for Anna. So if Hal really wants it and thinks he'll use it, he's welcome to it.

First level spells only for Dwyn, so no issues here.
