Manning is not a whistleblower. She did not meet any of the normal requirements to be considered one. She did a document dump without even knowing what she was dumping or who might be harmed in the process, and it would be a horrible thing if others followed that example. The names of truly heroic whistleblowers, like those who went to jail for raising limited, ethical warnings about NSA actions, are not so well known.
