Inspired by Mike's podcast- A person wakes up and realizes no one can see, hear or know that she's there. She ghosts around for the morning, going a bit crazy, until a guy DOES see her. He explains that he's erased her from history and he had to because, in the future, she's inadvertently going to be responsible for an industrial accident that is going to poison the environment killing a large swath of the states in New England and millions of people. But now that she's erased, it won't happen. When she doubts this, he shows her both her past and the future and it plays out like she said. He tells her that she must consent to being erased from history, if she refuses, then she'll go back to her life like it was, with no knowledge of what she'll be responsible for. If she does consent, then she has to take the guy's life, and then she'll take his place. She'll be able to go back in time to the beginning of her life to the last day she remembered actually existing (i.e., the first day of the story); she can teleport around the world; and she can see what happens to the world when a single person is erased. The point being that she has to select someone when she's ready to die.

Assassin 12-
The details on this one are fuzzy- but I had a gonzo time loop story about an organization from the past that sends an assassin forward in time to kill Captain Chronos when he was a 7 at his childhood home. They need to do this because when he becomes an adult, Captain Chronos has the technology to go back in time and really destroys most of the organization. The problem for our assassin is that Captain Chronos perceives time as a separate dimension- meaning that he knows everything that's going to happen during his whole life, and can make changes accordingly for better results. Things don't end well for the first assassin, but the organization anticipated this and injected him with technology that kept a written journal of everything that happened to him, so they know the basics of everything up until the moment of death. So they send another one forward to try something different.
That's the prologue in broad strokes.
Chapter 1- Assassin 12 is perched in a tree. Our story is told from his perspective in the first person. Next to him is Assassin 11, and 12 is trying to convince him that he (meaning 11) is doomed if he's going to sneak into the crawl space and just open fire through the floor boards of the kid's bed. 11 is suspicious and runs towards the house anyways, convinced that 12 is trying to sabotage him. 12 grimaces as 11 bounds off, and is surprised at the tapping on his shoulder. "I'm number 14," the woman says, "And I really need you to think twice about what you're doing."
The story places out as a puzzlebox that unfolds.

The main character gets a whiff of an experimental bug spray which sends him into a dream world where homosexuality is the dominant sexuality and heterosexuality is the minority and the oppressed.
