I wish I didn't know there were points. I definitely have voted more strategically since finding out, but that said I did give a few of my quotes 0s or 1s anyways.
I've tried to vote for quotes that are good quotes in the film, but also good without the film. "1.21 Jiggawatts" can only go so far...

I'm voting exactly as I would if there were no points, because I don't care about them.
My criteria have been a mixed bag: Entertainment value as a stand-alone quote; entertainment value in the context of the film; cultural impact; how often I personally use the quote in real life; nostalgia... all sorts of stuff.

It also helps that I was already winning by the time I noticed that there were points. Apparently, I'm just naturally superior at picking movie quotes and therefore don't have to care.

Yikes. Or people could chill and recognize that the thing is still rolling along just fine without harm, and people are having fun with it. Maybe it's time for a reminder (unfortunately often falls dead in the water) that a lot of things posted on a site like this should be read with a giant grain of salt, the assumption that people have some humor in their tone, or that they're basically friendly in intention and not trying to shit on things. Or I guess you can assume everything people write is mean-spirited trolling, and reap the joy. Whatever.
