I know Mike posted it on Twitter already, but ! I've been waiting for them to come out with one of those again, ever since they discontinued the . It's still expensive as hell, but it's much more affordable than the older set!

It sounds really cool. One of the things that has frustrated me about Lego over the recent years is they'll come out with a product and only make it for a short period of time. At the time you go to buy, it's sold out everywhere, and demand is greatly inflated for the thing. Then by the time the demand abates and you could actually go buy again, they have one left and you're not in time to get it off the clearance or from the Lego site directly.

What I learned during this process, of course, is that the fickle demands of children are not much affected by this. It's when adults want a certain set. Then we realize that it's a struggle to divert kids from a tablet even to Legos. Tablets are like crack, seriously, but I don't want to go down the road of debating this again! You can forcibly remove the tablet but the child never ever forgets the desire for it.
