I once fit fourteen college students into my taxicab to drive them home from the bar on a night that was 20 below zero. My cab was nowhere near as big as that Chrysler. You have no idea what proper motivation can accomplish.

Blasphemer. One of the most common meanings of "forever" is "for all time". So you're arguing that time exists outside of life now? Good luck proving that one.

DEEP BLUE SEA

A otherwise PERFECT FILM is marred by the idea that a shark, even a highly intelligent one can develop the ability to swim backwards, it would be similar to the idea that if i read enough books i can physically take flight.

Kind of how Rogue One filled in some NEW HOPE PLOTHOLES(reason why Death Star had such a fatal flaw in designs, empty chair in team meeting when Darth Vader chokes some guy) I'm curious if the upcoming OBI WAN movie will let us know why the Jedi master thought it would be a good idea to hide Luke in Anakins family home and let him keep his last name. some hiding place.

The entire Matrix series is ruined by the idea that humans in any way make good batteries.

Suicide Squad - where the absolute most elite of special forces operators don't bat an eye when handed a bomb that doesn't work with remote detonators.

Also - where C3 staff set up HQ at ground zero inside an active combat zone.

Also - where the world's best sniper and marksman shoots from the hip and/or without bracing or perches, at every single opportunity.

Also - where said inhumanely gifted marksman does the sideways gat hold.

I'll stop now.

Liar Liar

He must tell the truth, but couldn't he at least do some quadruple-negatives to confuse. Plus, sometimes double negatives are still negative and single negatives are positive.

No, it's true!

The favorite of the internet, and I'm surprised it hasn't been mentioned yet.

Every Middle-Earth movie ever doesn't just USE THE GODDAMN EAGLES TO FIX ALL THEIR PROBLEMS IN A JIFFY.

The Last Starfighter - The arcade cabinet is specifically noted to "upload" high scores in an era long before anything resembling that was even possible. And FTL comms are never noted as existing.

Captain America - Why he didn't just ditch the plane in the middle of the ocean, call in his coordinates, bail, and go dance with Peggy Carter...I have no fucking clue.

Ronin - That Sean Bean doesn't die on screen. Criminals at that level of expertise are either sequestering a failed team member or killing them. Sixty seconds after they paid him off, he tells the cops, takes the money the Irish paid him off with, and fucks off back to the boathouse at Hereford laughing like a fool.

Avengers: Age of Ultron - When the perfect example of a KEW (kinetic energy weapon, aka Shadowrun's Thor shots), in the form of the vibranium "core" to the rocket assembly, falls out of the collapsing city from low orbit, and doesn't flash vaporize most of the Atlantic.

Alien: Covenant - When the colonization crew made up of marine security forces, highly noted scientists, and specialist medical personnel that spent "years training for this mission" test the atmosphere and living conditions of an unknown planet by...walking off the ship with no protective gear.

I agree with you. Eagles step in when they decide to. They've got their own lives.

Somewhere, I've seen an analysis of the eagles from Tolkien nerds; it might have been basedon Tolkien's writings. The eagles function like angles. they step in only when someone is both truly desperate and have also striven hard on their own and proven themselves worthy. You can't just go, "Hey angel! my kite's stuck in a tree. Get that out for me, would you?"

Exactly. You're also right about Yoda. It's a whole "hiding in plain sight" thing, where the uncontrolled emotions of the person you're hiding from can be relied upon to obscure the obvious.

I love Moana and so do my kids and it might be in less than a year one of the five films I've seen the most. So it has a flaw so major that it's mentioned in a line in the film.

"Well, if the ocean's so smart, why didn't the ocean give the heart back to Te Fiti? I'll tell you why, the ocean's straight up kooky dukes."

Spoilers....

The ocean hid the heart for 1000 years, and has the ability to move objects and people quickly... It could have brought it back. It could have stepped in to help Moana tons of times and didn't. Moana came near death via fire monster (first time), giant crab, blow darts, and even almost drowning and the ocean didn't assist. Of course this wouldn't have led to personal growth and healing by Moana, Maui, and Te Fiti, but still.
