Oz is underrated. The pacing is weird, but it's not a bad movie at all. I enjoyed it, but didn't love it.
Army of Darkness was one of those movies I said I loved when I saw it because: (1) I had to love everything Sam Raimi did; and (2) EVERYONE talked about how it was amazing. I've seen it probably five times since then, trying to convince myself that I love it. But I don't. It's not a horror movie, it's a comedy. It's not just a comedy, it's a slapstick comedy. It's more akin to the Three Stooges than it is to the first two Evil Deads or another horror movie. And that's fine- I don't criticize people that like it, I've just come to realize that it's not my cup of tea. I don't find the funny parts funny, and I find much of it boring and self-indulgent by both Raimi and Bruce Campbell.

Army of Darkness was my first Sam Raimi film, and saw it in a rowdy midnight screening the first month of college. I loved the slapstick and that's why I also like Spider-man 2 second best.
