Piggly Wiggly is actually owned by C&S Wholesale Grocers who which is not primarily a supermarket chain. Rather, it is the primary supplier for lots of other chains, including many on the list above. I feel bad disallowing this one, but I'm doing it anyway.

As a side note, Schnucks was not on my original list, however, I discovered that it IS an independently owned American supermarket chain that makes 3 times as much as the original #20 on my list (Stater Bros), so I bumped that one out and put Schnucks in. If others show up that the original list missed that are larger than Schnucks but smaller than my #19, I'll grant them 1pt as well.
