Nelly was nice enough to remind me that events are going live right now, which means we have 12 days left before we can start signing up for stuff.

If my math is right, we have an 8-dude sausage-fest for GenCon this year:

Accomodations
If I'm right, then we only need 2 hotel rooms. We're staying at the La Quinta Inn that is less than a mile from the Con. Walking distance.

We can cancel the extras.

Travel
Andrew and Pat will be traveling together and meet us there.

Dave will drive from Colorado to Nebraska. I will have my minivan which will then drive five of us from Nebraska to Caz's mom's house. We will hopefully get to see Phoebe and her lovely family along our trip. If we are super lucky, we'll get to meet Barb and the twins, cuz I've never seen them in person. Having picked up Caz, all six of us drive to GenCon.

Events
I don't know. I want at least one big RPG that we can all do together. I want to attend Concert Against Humanity. I want to see the Acrobatica Infiniti Circus, where one presumes we might see Daki. I want to get to the playtest hall again. That shit rocks. I want to wander the halls and solve puzzles as a team. I'd like at least a couple other card games or board games to try out as a group. I don't know how seating works for the AI Circus, but I know that for Concert Against Humanity, we need to have one of us buy all the tickets so that we can all sit together. I'm happy to do that.


At the Con, we will do complex maths to figure out who owes who what for rooms, gas, tickets, etc, and we'll even everybody up at that time.

I'm sorry Alex is out. What happened, Aidan? Did he break up with us? We hadn't even had a first date yet! I'm so hurt and confused now.

It's actually Jacob's roommate, and Alex is out because he's not comfortable with people... or large groups... or the unexpected... or chaos in general. As much as he would love many things about being at a huge nerd-con, it's also quite likely he could have been miserable and anxious for most of it. Probably better to start with something a little smaller than the largest tabletop gaming con in the world.

Okay, folks. Event registration is open. We should find some time to poke around on the event listing and grab some tickets so we can do some (of the organized) things together! I'm free Saturday night (Say 9:30 PM EST) we can take a look at the offerings and pick things that look good. Who is free? (I mean, after that, I'm pretty much free any night M-F, we could do that, too.)

I will be at work Saturday night. That means I would be more than happy to use facebook chat or something similar to talk about events.

I can't get my badge until the end of this month or maybe early July due to money. But I will have it soon.
