But Kyle, this will still always be your response in the end.

Thus, the naked apologies.

Maybe all apologies should be performed that way, assuming the right sort of relationship among the participants.

People would really like it if I create a review thread for every album I'm listening to this year, right?

I joke, but a few of us apparently have a lot to say about twenty-one pilots' "blurryface" album.

How about a middle ground and have a single thread for all your music reviews instead of in the music thread? Or maybe for everyone's new music challenge reviews?

I had a plan for 3 albums/week, 1 self chosen, 1 from another's list, one semi-randomly chosen. Then things fell apart. I might return to it though and need good options off of others' lists.

I have no preference anymore for general vs specific. Specific encourages more conversation. General is more organized and makes for easier reference, but it does tend to be more bloglike journaling. People are talking-at to tell their story and have it on record but with less comment and discussion. Each is useful for its own purposes.

For myself, most things I would put in a blog-type post I now save for the podcast, so I find the specific threads more useful for my own purposes.
