Predict some spoilers here.

Rey begins training with Luke, "the last Jedi", but returns to the Resistance without him.
Leia continues to exert leadership, but doesn't get to play.
Poe, Rey, and Finn get to play, and sometimes are winning and sometimes are losing.
Snoke is revealed to be the Emperor.
Luke arrives at climax to kick ass and then die.
Ray disappears at conclusion to finish training on her own and becomes the true last Jedi.

Yeah. Probably.

I don't think Snoke will be the emperor, but the rest is good. If the title is truly "The Last Jedi", then having Luke be the true Last Jedi, implies that the movie is about him. Therefore, Rey needs to become a Jedi, and if SHE is to be the last... then Luke has to die.

But then we also need development for Kylo Ren, and if the pattern holds true, then this is the movie where Rey discovers her true heritage.

One thing to remember is that the plural of jedi is jedi.

If Luke doesn't make it through this movie, it will wreck me. With Han gone, and Carrie Fisher gone, they can't take Luke too.

I really hope Luke has been in seclusion trying to find a way to bring the Force into balance.

Also, I want to see Luke and Rey tearing ass on badguys. They set the bar high with Vader in Rogue one and both Kylo and Rey in Force Awakens.

The Last Jedi is plural.

The official title of the movie has now been released in multiple languages, and in any language where the article or adjective requires a choice between plural or singular form, it is always plural.
