My daughter would kill me though...probably with a salt shaker. When we went out to the Redwoods back in 2012 we drove down from Oregon and went to a place called "Fern Canyon" yeah just like the movie title...anyway there were banana slugs everywhere you looked...it just took a while to notice them and then boom! you'd see even more.

My daughter was getting a bit terrified at their almost omnipresence and it didn't help that her sisters piled on about it. I will pass that picture along to her and let you guys know her reaction.

I got new fancy Honsrek earbuds and the sound of this episode was awesome. I heard every fart and sneeze as though I was actually there! The Auto-poda-mutic was especially enjoyable.

The game you never want to play with your parents/in laws (to answer my own pod-o-matic) is never never have I ever. I know this from experience.

when you say mill I think back to my youth when we would take a load or corn to the hammer mill to have it pulverized into feed along with other grains and molasses, etc. so the words "kitten mill" seem even more gruesome to me than the reality of them.....


and my daughter's reply to the banana slug mask:

"Why does this even exist???"

To be fair, we gave them money, and in exchange, they gave us a cat, which is legally considered property.

But you are correct that it was a shelter cat, and the money we gave them was labelled "adoption fees" and the papers we signed did indeed say we were adopting the cat.

You say "potato"; I say "animal slavery." Same thing.
