This is a good idea. We haven't battled in many moons (about 19 moons, in fact, since we ended HeroBattle X: RoboBattle).

I'll post up the full rules in a day or two and start taking nominations, but HeroBattle is stolen from a forum game I've seen other places called Hit-Hit-Heal.

Everyone in the game is assigned a character (in this case, it will be Star Wars characters). Don't tell anyone who your character is. Everyone starts with 10 hit points. Every day, each player picks two characters to hit and one character to heal. Characters lose 1 hp for each hit and gain 1 hp for each heal. If a character reaches 0 hp, it is dead. Last one standing wins. Usually takes two weeks to play a whole game.

There's other twists and turns thrown in... keep your identity a secret, because if anyone can figure out who you are and call you out, you take a huge hit. You have nemeses in the game, and when they die you get a bonus. There may be special powers or random events that throw a bug in things. But the basics are really just that you have to post once a day with the hit-hit-heal.

It's a fascinating game, because the results are absolutely deterministic, based on the actions of the players, but when you have 12 players, each one has so little individual control that it can feel like this nameless, faceless force driving the game.
