The new ultra right knows that racism is unpopular and is on a mission to change that by making every white person terrified about the changing demographics of the nation, the importing of dangerous terrorists via lax immigration policy, and the eventual wiping out of "white people" as they become a less powerful minority within the nation they once ruled. That's where all the energy and action is on the right at the moment, so I look for some truly unpleasant things to come as a result of this. I think we'll all be surprised how much support that particular point of view manages to generate, as some of its premises become more obviously true to people.
