When playing a boardgame or card game, what house rules do you use to determine who goes first?

If it's a game we're introducing to people, everyone who's played before gets to go first, so the newbies can see game play.

RPS, three out of five, one-two-shoot.

Depending on the game/who is playing:
Oldest first - If we are currently on a trend of age-shaming a relative (al in jest)
Youngest First - When we have REALLY young kids playing (they get a kick out of starting things off)
People who have played before - where a game seems complicated, and people are hesitant to play because they don't fully understand the rules.
