D&D Beginner's Box.

Does Hero's Quest from Milton Bradley count?

If not, the D&D core set, the one with the black box and red dragon. I think I could draw Zanzer Tem's dungeon from memory.

It was Advanced D&D. All I remember is that there was a Rust Monster at the end of the module and it was the coolest thing ever.

First RPG I played was an MMORPG called Knight Online. Graphics were bad, Story was bad, but I played it with a friend which makes it all the difference.

D&D basic set. It was a friends, and it was from a time when they had a shortage of polyhedral dice, so instead of D20 and the likes, there were numbers cut out of card stock and you would shake them up and draw them out of a cup.

Holmes version of Basic D&D.

My first gaming experience was the Dungeon! board game.

However, my first set of rules were the Moldvay Red Box of Basic Dungeons & Dragons.

Same as Kyle. We started together.

A solo Call Of Cthulu game with a gm, that was one session. Then some LARPing and solo basic box. Then my moms sponsor invited me to their 1st edition games.
