Stan - North by Northwest - the greatest action film of all time, and my favorite film. His greatest direction, his best characters, the best story, cinema's best set pieces, and his best comedy. 10 points!

Zombie - Vertigo - I mean, it's great, but I'm not always in the mood to see the story of a guy lust over another man's wife and that's minor compared to what a creep he becomes. But damn, it looks fantastic. 7 points!

Akiva - 39 Steps - hell yes. Aka NxNW take one, where Hitch hits the right balance between comedy and suspense. 7 points!

Kyle - Rear Window - Stewart plays another creep, but this one is a lot more charming. Best of Hitch's constraint experiments. 7 points!

Zen - The Lady Vanishes - You know it! Doesn't have the great comedy of 39 Steps, but the other suspense classic of his British era. Take that as a clue if you wish. 7 points!

Mike - Rope - Solid. Another bold constraint experiment, and surprisingly cinematic even if it really couldn't help but be slow at parts because of that constraint. 5 points!

*** NEW RULE****
ROUND 2, GUESS 4 FILMS. NOT TWO FROM THE SAME TIER

Guess 4 films, only they have to be from different tiers. If 2 or more are from the same tier, I will accept only the first and the others will be available again in the next round. You don't have to guess the tier, just four films hoping that they are spread out amongst the 5 remaining tiers.
If you don't guess four I will yell at you.

Stan:
The Man Who Knew Too Much (1956) - Overlooked probably because it was mearly a remake and a great time. Solid! 5 pts!
The Man Who Knew Too Much (1934) - Duplicate, back on the board
Lifeboat - Another successful constraint film, though overloaded with patriotism. Good, 4 pts!
Blackmail - Huh? I don't remember. Forgettable - 3pts!

Kyle:
The Birds - Solid, suspenseful, and the template for future disaster and horror films in that it's poorly acted and gleeful in its torture at times 5pts!
Psycho - creeps abound! Masterpiece 7 pts!
Torn Curtain - I just remember it being an incredible slog to get through. Actively Unenjoyable 7pts!
Dial M for Murder - maybe if I watched it in 3D it'd be better, good enough! - Good 4pts!

Zen:
Family Plot (1976) - Didn't mind it but also forgetable, 3pts!
Mr. & Mrs. Smith (1941) - Duplicate, back on the board!
Strangers on a Train (1951) - Creeps abound, excellent antagonist, great set pieces, Masterpiece, 7 pts!
Saboteur (1942) - More great set pieces, adventure and comedy. Solid, 5pts!
