Just because it's the last match of the first round, doesn't mean it isn't the most exciting! Holy hell, what a matchup we have here! Zbungrub's Revenge has staked his entire career on this tournament. Long living in the shadow of the 8-time reigning champ, Kyle Picked Scissors, Zbungrub's Revenge has publicly stated that this will be his last tournament and he will finally win the championship. At the age of 54, Zbungrub's Revenge is by far our oldest competitor, and hopes to parlay a victory in this tournament to propel the career of son, Rock Hard and the Paperdoos. While he might be ready for retirement, this old dog still has some tricks to teach to the young pups of the league.
But his competitor won't accept anything less than complete victory. Janken King, the first artificial inteligenced robot to be allowed in the tournament, knows that his vast knowledge is his strongest threat. The Janken King has been programmed with every single move made by every single competitor in the recorded history of the World RPS Congress. If his hype is to be believed, he's more aware of what his opponent will throw than the opponent is. Oft-criticized for his bland, passionless demeanor, he has recently upgraded his emotion chip to emulate that of old world wrestler Hulk Hogan. So we can at least count on some more flare from the Janken King this year.
But enough of the introductions, sirs- meet in the center of the ring, give the ceremonial wink and then... LET'S THROW FINGERS!
