I remember seeing that quote about doing the Bohemian Rhapsody scene in the car, where they're all banging their heads.

To achieve the house filled with popcorn for the film's climax, the production team popped popcorn continuously for three months. The popcorn was treated with fire retardant so it would not combust and covered so that it would not be eaten by birds and possibly poison them. The popcorn was then shipped to a subdivision under construction in Canyon Country, northwest of Los Angeles, and placed in the house.

The director conceived the project after envisioning a car chase set to the 1994 song "Bellbottoms" by the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, which he used as the film's opening scene.

"Influenced by producer Gregg Hale's memories of his military training, in which 'enemy soldiers' would hunt a trainee through wild terrain for three days, the directors moved the characters a long way during the day, harassing them by night and depriving them of food."

"After filming, 20 hours of raw footage was recorded which had to be cut down to two-and-a-half hours; the editing process took more than eight months. The directors screened the first cut in small film festivals in order to get feedback and make changes that would ensure that it appealed to as large an audience as possible. Originally, it was hoped that the film would make it on to cable television, and the directors did not anticipate wide release."

I knew I'd heard the story before, but was originally hung up on thinking it was a war movie. Okay- here's an easy one:
The story centers on a young engaged couple whose car breaks down in the rain near a castle where they seek a telephone to call for help.
