And it was genius Paranoia. I don't remember now if that was my first death or not. I know running around in the power loader was genius. That you could go along with the fiction that I was this super-advanced bot transferring energy and what-not was perfect. That whole game was awesome.

This game, too, is fantastic. I can't wait to see the whole of the text.

I sometimes fantasize about a Paranoia game that includes some sort of "Treason Governor" device that actually sees most things and tracks everyone's treason in real time. Then when you hit 20 treason points, you are instantly given a field trial where you have five minutes to justify your actions. Failing to come up with a convincing explanation means your head explodes.

It would be super fun, but every game would be over by the time you got out of the briefing rooms.

So, how much of Paranoia! adventures/actions/results determined by die rolls?

[Mike]

A lot. All the scene setting is me (well... almost all; one of you is very ambitious). I throw out fun obstacles when it amuses me. Almost all character action and interaction involves dice, which usually involves me giving both sides a roughly estimated bonus, then throwing dice and letting the side with the higher number come out on top.

When it comes to powers and equipment and such, there are rolls I could be making to determine when and how those malfunction, but usually I just do it when it feels right dramatically.
