Well? Anyone? I haven't had time yet. Will watch soon. Some people are very mad because our hero is concerned about black on black violence in his community and does not like the n-word even when ending in -a and spoken by black people. Other people are very mad because there are so many black people in this show about a black superhero. I have to move forward in life assuming that most people are on some island between these extremes of batshittery.

Four episodes in. It's very very good.
He's not worried about black-on-black crime. He's worried about crime in his community. He's worried about corruption in government. He wants to create a safe community. He's dealing with corrupt cops. I assume that some issues of institutionalized racism will enter into this by the end, but I'm just getting started.
Yes. The majority of the cast is people of color. There are white folks, but not many, and most of them are bad guys in one form or another. Ignore the haters and the whiners and enjoy the show. Maybe I'll change my mind about things by the end of it, but we'll just have to see.

I've watched the entire first season and thought it was quite good. All I can say is "haters gonna hate". Like Mike said, he's worried about general crime and violence in his neighborhood. Yes, some race issues come up over time, but they fit in the general story. One example is about someone on the run from the cops "If he's innocent, why did he run?" "He's a black guy in a hoodie, what else do you expect?"
The show is primarily in Harlem, I'd be surprised if I didn't see more people of color than white people.
Besides a fantastic cast and solid writing, I have to say the guy in charge of music for the show is a freaking genius. There was some truly glorious performances.

Jidenna's Long Live the Chief at the beginning of episode 5 was one of the most awesome uses of music in a show ever. I love that song.

I think I'm going to skip Jessica Jones and Daredevil Season 2 just to get my Luke Cage action.
