This book was in my "Goodreads Deals" for today and I'm tempted to get it...

- It is by the same author that does "Sh*t My Dad Says". One of the blurbs about it says it came about as a result of him telling his dad he was going to propose to his girlfriend and his response being that he should "rethink everything he's learned about women and relationships before making the decision to propose." It is a memoir of his comedic-tragic history with women from childhood crushes on. Knowing the guy's pretty good at writing comedy, it is probably pretty funny... in a twisted kind of (most likely sadly relatable) way.

I think about four years ago, I got caught by a book with a mastodon skull on the cover and some dust-punk art.

The book is Pump Six and Other Stories by Paolo Bacigalupi. It is so good for people who like dirty futures and glimmers of hope.
