Ya, and I'm puzzled at anyone would dispute dog-earring a book page as evil! How could that fail to be evil?

Though I would switch Neutral and Chaotic Evil. I think placing the book face down is more chaotic. It damages the spine...
I guess I vacillate between Chaotic Good, True Neutral, and Lawful Neutral... Mostly Lawful Neutral lately...

I'm okay with an amendment that trades dog-earring for spine-cracking as neutral/chaotic evil, though perhaps the rationale is that spine cracking makes a general harm to the book, little by little, without regard for surprising someone with a broken page, while dog earing breaks off the page and then hides the damage somewhere within, randomly. I don't know. It's all so bad, I shudder. I'm 100% a random receipt or a bit of paper person.

I vary between LG if the book has a built-in ribbon, true neutral if I have a free bookmark (seldom), CG otherwise, and LN for my many ebooks that I read.
