How is this new piece of our dystopian future okay? Gross.

I am amazed that they don't mention the potential racial and/or cultural bias Inherent in this. If we are comparing to "people who have performed well at this job in the past" and 98% of those who have been ranked well before are whites from a middle-class background, due to historical and systemic racism, then the algorithm is pre-programmed to favor those candidates. Proving that this technology does not factor in pre-existing bias is just the first hurdle to be overcome for me.

Duh, because technology cannot be biased, facial analysis is foolproof. Duh.
