Just One Wish

A Jinni gives you one wish. You can't wish for more wishes or anything like that-- you just get the one. The Jinni will also fulfill the intent of your wish-- meaning there will be no "monkey's paw" twist to it-- what you want is what you'll get. What do you wish for?

I would wish for the ability to understand anything.

I would wish to be the sole jackpot winner on the next lottery ticket I buy.

A tenured job at a liberal arts college. Maybe.
Maybe I'd switch identities with someone.

A permanent guest hosting gig on this podcast I followed where two brothers constantly talked about old Burger King chairs in their basement.

I wish that the jinni would lose the ability to remember that I've made any previous wishes immediately after granting them.
Granted. Now what would you like for your first wish?

Turkey sandwich, on rye bread, with lettuce and mustard, and, AND I don't want any zombie turkeys, I don't want to turn into a turkey myself, and I don't want any other weird surprises.

BTW if you pick flying over either time travel or invisibility you really haven't thought this through.

For one, I'm not sure how flying would make you rich unless you plan on becoming some kind of travelling freak show.
Personally I'd wish for the remote control in the classic Adam Sandler film, Click, but with rewind and pause buttons included (I believe it only had the fast forward button).

Correction: the remote from Click did at least have a pause button. Your editors regret this error.

Look- it's like playing a videogame in god mode. And as we all know, when you start playing in god mode, you quickly lose interest because it's not fun anymore.
Are you not interested in experiencing joy? Like the joy of skimming over the ocean at 70 mph as you fly just inches above its surface?

Uhh, God mode? I missed it - did you wish for invincibility too?
What about your legacy when an F-35 Lightning II shoots you out of the sky for violating FAA airspace?
