Yeah, that was a freaky story.

I've tried contacts several times, and several different kinds (semi-hard, soft, disposable, etc.), and they just don't work. I get bumps on the insides of my eyelids, like an allergic reaction, no matter what kind of lens I try. So this is not a problem I would have.

I'd love to be able to use contacts but, to date, I've not found ones that are comfortable. I have tried three different types/brands, but they all seem to dry my eyes terribly.

I'm thinking about getting Lasik, but I'm really waiting to see how clinical trials go for .

I looked into lasik, but found out that my eyesight is so bad that it had a significant chance of permanently damaging my eye because it would require making the lens too thin.
