True. But Pete has an awesome point: if you want a huge selection, technology has assisted in creating a huge volume and variety of music in the last 2 decades.

But how much of it is better than Dvorak, Sibelius, Puccini (Tosca alone!!), Elgar, Brahms, Faure, Mahler (symphony 2!), Bartok, Debussy, Saint-Saens, Rachmaninoff, Scott Joplin's Maple Leaf Rag aaaaand:

I like my years the more I think about it; this surprises me because I had been hoping for a serendipitous Beethoven/Mozart overlap!

Does that work for everything? So I can say 2007 to 2017 and then still get to listen to Dwight Yoakum because he still has CD out?
