It also depends on household temp/humidity. Growing up in the west, bread rarely went bad. In humid Baltimore summers in a house with insufficient air conditioning, bread went moldy in a couple of days if not in the fridge.

Exactly! Growing up in Michigan, you either had some sort of container that mitigated humidity or you stored your bread in the freezer/fridge unless you had a large enough family to go through it at a rapid pace.
Gluten free bread goes bad so fast it isn't even funny. (Kyle, are you sure we aren't related? We have far too many things in common... I seem to recall you getting Tinea versicolor as well...)

I just found a bread sitting here in the kitchen with a knot tied in such a way that if you pull on the end, the knot comes right out. I don't know how we're supposed to classify that. Someone mentioned it earlier.

That' the only way to do it. Anyone who disagree's is a criminal oathbreaker and should be put to death.

So... a form of "lawful", then?

Generally, I believe that the difference between the lawfuls is the degree to which they allow empathy and concern for sufferign to intrude on the execution of the law. A Lawful Good person who finds the law to be cruel and increase the suffering of people would work against such a law, first within the bounds of the law, and only moving outside those as it becomes impossible to work within the system. A Lawful Neutral person will generally enforce the law and uphold it, though they may be slightly swayed. A Lawful evil person will straight up work to subvert the law for their own personal gain, and fuck whoever is oppressed by it.

So a lawful good, then, since the knot is intended to minimize the effort and agony experienced by someone who tries to open the bread again, even though making such a knot is a ridiculous endeavor?
