"Date Night"

For the purposes of this poll date nights do not include events that children attend along with you, other people's weddings, work dinners and parties, trips to buy a new washing machine, and so on. Just some type of minimum two-hour time block spent outside the home with your significant other where no further responsibility exists besides hanging out with your significant other.

Fourteen or fifteen years ago. I'm unsure. It was either 2004 or 2005 being the last time I dated anyone.

Mike I have literally heard about more dates than that, unless somehow they get dq'd for some reason!

It's probably a bit more than 1-2 times per year, but not as much as 1-2 times per month.

I would guess we go out to dinner alone once a month, but that's usually a spur of the moment thing and only 45 minutes. We see maybe 1 to 2 movies a year (give or take) that we don't invite anyone else to. But having two adult children means they often get asked along too. 1 to 2 concerts a year that don't involve anyone else. The trip to Halifax was a very special thing, but we try to do a yearly overnight trip somewhere alone.

So maybe 5-6 times a year of qualifying events as you've defined them, but 1-2 per month if we're including lesser amounts of alone time.

I'm a outlier because I've been with the current chica only since...last November or so, so 1-3 times a month but I imagine that will taper off when we slowly grow to hate each other and our company haha jk things are great, just having a laugh.

We TRY to do a date night once or twice a month. It is more like once though...it should be more...my kids are self service now.
