Well, let's hear it for TUESDAY AFTERNOON less than a week before Christmas when ALMOST NO Christmas gifts have been purchased, no Christmas "card" has been produced much less sent, and my husband has been sent away on yet another trip to Timbuktu. Bless that man's heart, he calls me this morning EXACTLY at the final moment by which we can leave the house for school and not be late in delivering two of the kids there. My god, I thought to myself, he would never call at this hour unless something MAJOR was needed. Nope, just calling to chat. We are like two giant ocean liners, both very successful in our journeys, and with absolutely zero idea what the other is up to.
