What the heck, I'll keep this thing alive. Good morning. Well, today's the day we're making the call to the vet to put the pooch down. Not looking forward to it, but we think it's time.

For the first time in about 16-17 years, we have no pets. There was one cat we got rid of before our son was born because he (the cat) was too aggressive. There were several fish and frogs. Then 3 cats and the dog. In the past 15 months, the 3 cats and dog have all died. The cats were 13 and the dog was 10 years old, so it's not like they were completely unexpected. But it's still a bit of a gut punch. I'll have to figure out what to do in the mornings, since I no longer have to take the dog for a walk.

Good morning. It's a new day, didn't have to walk the dog in the cold this morning, but still have to get the kid up early for morning swim practice.

We lost our oldest dog Sam yesterday. Some unidentified pervasive disorder was causing him numerous problems, and despite treatment, he just kept declining. He was a good dog.

Yeah, it's weird. I'm guessing it's that we're all roughly the same age and therefore will all have similarly old dogs.
That and a heaping helping of coincidence.
