Still just rolling along with Delfeayo Marsalis, who by the way has that terrific album called Make America Great Again, but I'm trying to listen to the more recent album - here is a sample I think Pete and Akiva and others might like:

This is hilarious and has rescued my brains and ears from the many occasions in daily life when I encounter this phrase:

Mistake! Driving the car and just let the song play the whole way through on the radio, and now here we are, having to dig up the clean version because in the house with the little pitchers of big ears fame.

Rubber bullets bouncing off me
Made a picket sign from your picket fence
Take it as a warning

The other day I found myself, for reasons far too complex to explain, driving the car for a while in the state of absolute sleepy exhaustion. Then suddenly an oldies station appeared, playing Chic's Dance Dance Dance, and all was saved. Back in my unwise and unchastened youth, I used to think some of the vocals were dated or strange or embarrassing, but now I realize, twas only myself that was embarrassing! Chic were like astronauts living ahead of their time.

Stayin' quiet when they killin' *****, but you speak loud
When we riot, got opinions comin' from a place of privilege
Sicker than the COVID how they did him on the ground
Speakin' of the COVID, is it still goin' around?
Say a lil' prayer, matter fact, I need two of 'em

My husband has been singing Old King Cole over and over again to the dog in a very low voice, and the dog seems to love it. So then inevitably I started singing it and now I can't stop. Then I realized my husband self-identifies with Old King Cole and now I'm also dying of laughter every time and the whole effect is very poor for the singing quality.

Driving issues again: I was granted the most limited fading slivers of old Van Halen and George Benson and Suzanne Vega (apparently they play all the good stuff exactly at 1:00 in the morning, but not after!) and then the radio was bereft of hope ... so this was my best option ... and the chorus had a contagiousness so when I was done driving I clicked on the video ... Nooooooo! Aieee!
Feel like maybe this was a movie, one I did not see in its day and age? A movie like Rocky but about a wrestler? Maybe it's about Tahlvin, judging from all the running and ascending peg boards or whatever, but I like to think T has better form on his pushups! Like what is up with those wings, dude? Even I can do better, if you can imagine matronly halfling pushups. Anyway, the video may tell the whole story such that the movie is skippable:
