I was never a big Friends fan, in large part because Ross is a dick. He just is.

It seemed to me that the show changed a lot after season 1--the characters were much richer and interesting in season 1, and they became not much more than catch phrases after that.

I remember Dad telling me that Friends was fine, but he just couldn't stand what an asshole Ross was. At the time I thought he was crazy. He was, but he was also right about Ross.
