Re: Nerd Pride Cookbook
I recently tried out a suggestion from a co-worker that turned out pretty tasty. Pizza topping casserole. Take your favorite pizza toppings, layer them in a casserole dish and bake for about 45 minutes at 350 Fahrenheit. What I did is lightly browned a pound of ground beef (seasoned with chopped oni...

Jeff- Ouch, that is terrible.
Akiva -what Jeff said. I think if anything, it'll be easier than 3e.

Re: Noah and Mike LOVE Starfinder!
I haven't dug through it as deeply as others, but I am seriously in love with this game. Both the setting (a space opera that's a cross of Mass Effect and Shadowrun with a splash of 40K? Yes please.)

Re: [Deep Thoughts] Know It When I See It
As a writer it's because I have a story in my head that I want to share with characters who have things to say.
Friends of mine who draw, paint, sculpt, etc. Have said they have an image or a feeling they want to get out.

Re: Starfinder
To be honest the starting cost issue isn't unusual. The hundred someodd gold that characters in PF get doesn't go very far either. It's why a good number of GMs, including you Jeff ;), tend to give a bit more to start with. Not enough for magic items, but enough to buy half way decent gear and to af...

Re: Starfinder
I agree about weapon focus and spec. That was great. Especially since every class gets spec at 3rd level.
I also appreciate that even the spellcasters can wear light armor.

Re: Starfinder
Starfinder is just fantastic. I love what they've done with spellcasting. Some spells are variable level, a caster takes it at a particular level, they can use it as that level or below. They can then retake it at a higher level and replace that lower level spell with a different one. So for example...

Re: Education in Fantasy Fiction
It's been a while since I tried reading them, but the Malazan Book of the Fallen series might not have started with learning scenes. The first book also didn't seem interested in the reader understaning what the hell was going on, either. So there's that. Yeah, the author of Malazan just threw the ...

I'm not sure what the real reason is, I'd seen several different responses, but I really did like Swinton in the role.

Re: Movie Review Thread
Saw Doctor Strange this weekend and thought it was a very fun movie with an excellent cast. I know there were complaints about Tilda Swinson as the Ancient One, which were justified regarding whitewashing, but she did a great job.
The magic effects were pretty trippy in parts.

I tried a bidet once, it was exceedingly uncomfortable. I'll stick to the special wet wipes for butts.
Re: Trump
In case anyone thought I was wrong or exaggerating about Trump's core white nationalist support, the Bannon appointment settles that. The man in charge of strategy in your White House is one! I can't wait to see what my local Nazis are inspired to do next. I cannot even convey to you how happy this...

I'm gonna be blunt here, Elle. You're being silly. Lots of people have names that are in common with exceedingly bad/unfortunate things. A friend of mine's hubby is named Benito.

Re: Deportations
Considering that Obama has to actually train Trump in the duties of the President, I suspect the deportations won't happen right away because he won't know how to arrange it. Then there's also the fact his transition team is starting to get a turnover like his campaign, it'll be amazing if he can ge...

Thanks to the trailers for Mass Effect Andromeda, I'm probably going to be playing Mass Effect 2 and 3 again.
One of these years I'll actually load up Assassin's Creed Syndicate or Deus Ex Revolution that have been languishing unplayed on my Steam account.
