Re: Calendar (Spring/Summer 2018)

So, planning out my nights for this and next week. Any idea if we will play this week as a makeup, or will we simply jump forward to next week and continue apace from there?

Thanks!

Re: [GB] Reinventing Gods powers.

So, one of the points I think we can start from is knowing how many cards make up a God's deck versus a Heroes deck. Are they supposed to be discrete objects, or are they the same thing? Does each God deck contain 10 cards that have the same art on the back of them as the blessings and curses, and t...

Re: [GB] Playtest on Wednesday? 3-21

Things dont look good on my end tonight, gents. I totally forgot my wife has her All-District Vocal concert tonight, which means she won't get home until at least 9. I also need to go bottle my latest batch of homebrew with my brother in law, which I wont be able to start until after she gets home, ...

Re: [GB] Terrain Mechanics

Counterpoint: Your favored terrain or your God's? They may not always be the same.

I think, flavor-wise, it works either way.

Re: [GB] Reinventing Gods powers.

Oh yeah, I didnt think that the powers would ever kill a hero. My instinct would be that the cards could be really powerful, but there only being 1 in the deck means that it wouldnt come up in every game. There's no mechanism to draw through your deck at lightning speed, so it would be variance whet...

Re: [GB] Reinventing Gods powers.

Ancient Greek heroes are playing rugby, and the gods are intervening. All the big guns are out, and yet no one actually dies. It's a roadrunner cartoon, and we're all coyotes. We're going for serious game play dressed up in a comic skin, and I hope our ultimate artwork highlights this. I want it to...

Re: [GB] Playtest on Wednesday? 3-21

I've recently started going to the gym, which is a big deal for me :) During the week I have to go later on at night because my wife gets home later on. I can get out when she gets home at 5, which means I can get back by 630 or so. I think that I can probably do it, though. I'll get there when I ca...

Re: [GB] Reinventing Gods powers.

Conceptually, I have trouble knowing exactly HOW active a part the Gods are going to play in the game. Are they looking down from Olympus on the Heroes battling and just joking with each other about it, or are they squabbling with each other and rooting hard for their Hero? Would Zeus drop a lightni...

Re: [GB] God Themes

I think Hades might be a bit easier to work out than Hestia, but that could just be me. I also think that it would be interesting if there were interplay between the Gods. A God card for Demeter that gives a special additional blessing if her Hero is opposed by Hades could be really interesting. The...

Re: Leaving Runeforge... eventually

Goal 2) Find clues/materials to defeating Karzoug. That includes clearing HIS section of the Runeforge and hopefully questioning this little mithril bastard. Plus we need to explore the areas that he is weak to, looking for tools. Okay, so this may be a dumb question, but do we know the schools he ...

Leaving Runeforge... eventually

So I just wanted to start a new thread where we can condense our thoughts on the general goals that we all have in front of us while we are here. So far as we know, there's nothing pressing that would create any sort of visceral immediacy for us to leave, but we certainly NEED to leave once we have ...

Re: Leveling to 12

Anna's plan of attack is to smack him with another disintegrate this round and then, if that doesnt work, do it again. Given that we seem to be in the halls where transmutation magic is strong, Anna would like to humbly suggest that we not destroy his staff. It could prove to be a powerful weapon ag...

He's also the first "living" being we've seen here thus far... if what we've found thus far can be believed, he's probably been alone in here for quite some time. I almost feel bad for him. That having been said, its fortunate that he targeted someone like Dwyn with that Disintegrate rathe...

Re: Leveling to 12

I'm by no means an expert, but my recollection would tell me the following: There are a couple of different items that would allow a spellcaster to cast a spell that has been stored in it. A Ring Of Spell Storing holds I think 5 levels of spells that the caster can discharge at will, but they dont c...
