Bar none, FiveThirthyEight is my favorite site for data-driven political analysis. They've had a couple interesting reads the past few days on this topic. http://fivethirtyeight.com/features/is-this-what-it-looks-like-when-a-party-falls-apart http://fivethirtyeight.com/features/the-end-of-a-republic...

Re: Level Up: Chapter X
So, in finalizing my spellbook changes, I noticed that we, at some point after Anna and Sam joined the Company, found a scroll of Cone Of Cold. Does anyone object to Anna copying it into her spellbook to have an offensive spell available at 5th level? If someone else wants it, she will supplement wh...

Perfect example: Andrew Lloyd Webber Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat Jesus Christ Superstar Evita Cats Phantom Of The Opera Even if you're not a fan, those shows have likely made more than a billion dollars, (adjusts for inflation, of course :) ) Hard to argue against, even if you're on...

Re: [Movie] Audition (Spoilers)
It's not that I hate his sensibilities... I just don't enjoy the tone he strikes in some of his later films... Hostel felt like gore for gore's sake, and I don't enjoy those sorts of films as much. I've seen them compared in film study texts, and I don't feel like it's a fair comparison either, but ...

Having said that, give me Takeshi Miike over Eli Roth any day.

I was just texting Pat about this over the weekend. I read that there's one opening on the Commons in Ithaca, and I've really wanted to try one.

Re: Calendar (Summer 2016)
Mike, I'm pretty sure that I'm the one who said six. I think I was counting both sides. I owe an apology for being out of position. I positioned Anna where I did to get visibility to the back row of baddies. I had a plan in mind to fireball, invis up, fly over, and fireball again. Circumstances dict...

I was going to say, if any one of us was going to be doing any dragon-jumping, it would DEFINITELY be Dwyn.

I don't think Illian was played that differently from the way he normally engages. I think we had a couple unfortunate crits on him that did more damage than we were prepared for, but Illian does frequently wade into combat a little... recklessly... at times with the intent to protect his party memb...

I don't think it'll be necessary to heal and interrogate Teraktinus. I don't think we're likely to discover more from him than we've found out from Gunrus. I'm more than happy to let the other three go. If they head back towards Jorgenfist, so much the better. We'll have an easy trail to follow. If ...

Re: Question for Darcs...
One of my favorite Pat and SB Halloween stories comes a couple years later. Pat and SB have a party that's costume required. I'm not a big costume guy, but, hell, when in Rome. I get to their apartment shortly after the party has begun and one of our oldest friends gets out of his car at the same ti...

Re: [No Trolls] Biblical Christianity
I believe the term "biblical Christianity" is used as an argumentative crutch. Christianity, as a whole, is a mixed bag. I honestly believe that the term, at least as far as I've seen it employed here, is used to elevate one person's particular version of Christianity over others less rigi...

Also, these guys are known to throw REALLY heavy rocks from time to time. If we can catch them early in the morning, perhaps unprepared, it might save us from at least a couple rounds of having rocks chucked at our heads. And Zen, a couple of them ARE pretty injured... a fireball with some good roll...
