Re: Women Only Room at Gyms

Kyle, you're a meta-voyeur, scoping out the old men checking out the women.

Sad that such a room exists but totally understandable.

Re: All Apologies

I'm sorry for the various mean and/or crass things I've said over the years when I've been in pissy moods. It's a reflection of me, not you. If I didn't like you, I'd just ignore you.

Re: Trump

Mike, see below. I'm at 7. Info suggests that Trump has helped with money laundering for a while now. If Russia doesn't get what it wants, it may decide that adding to the chaos will mess up the U.S. and so be worth it. If that happens, we all might be subjected to videos of Trump pissing. There is ...

Re: Harassment at Conventions

This guy sounds creepy and I'm glad he's suffering consequences. I think part of the outcry in this case is a reaction to just how flabbergastingly common harassment has been at cons and how much creeps could get away with. Famous people have done much worse and gotten away with it. Isaac Asimov was...

Re: All Apologies

And that I have a huge ego and want to be mentioned on the podcast so I insert myself whenever possible. I hate that about me, it's me trying to be relevant when I don't feel like I am, not that that is an excuse at all. It isn't. I'm sorry that you feel that way. Don't let self doubt gnaw away at ...

Re: Numenera pbp

I think I'll run the game in the giantitp forums. There are 3-4 players there in the game. But the main reason is that the forum has a built in die roller where you write a bit a formatting and a result is inserted when you post. additional info: How much gold or other starting funds will the charac...

Re: [Movies] Rogue One

But did Suicide Squad have a tall salty robot we all love? You're right. Will Smith must be a robot designed by L. Ron Hubbard as an attempt at an artificial Kwisatz Haderach. But the ocean air on Sea Org perverted his purpose so he spent his time mugging for the camera and trying to be Fresh. I'm ...

Re: Reducetarians

I've thought about something like this, as long as it is done casually, not in a religious sort of way like so many diets, where you're a bad person if you don't follow it perfectly. I used to eat quite a bit less meat and I still don't eat meat every meal. However, Reducetarian seems to be an attem...

You're the one who mailed a manifesto to Trump, aren't you? You don't have to confirm that, just respond with the previously established code of smilies.

Numenera pbp

By happenstance and whimsy, it looks like I might be running a pbp of Numenera. Initial setup is below. I have 1d4 players so far and have room for a few more. Let me know if you're into that sort of thing. The characters are accompanying an Aeon Priest - as bodyguard, students, whatever the player ...

Re: People Annoy Me

At what point in the history of the world will people learn the rules of four-way stops? Twice on the way to work I had someone who arrived at the intersection before I did, granted, by a small margin, but by enough that it was clear they had the right of way. (In one case the other person was also...

Re: Specific v. General Topics

How about a middle ground and have a single thread for all your music reviews instead of in the music thread? Or maybe for everyone's new music challenge reviews? I had a plan for 3 albums/week, 1 self chosen, 1 from another's list, one semi-randomly chosen. Then things fell apart. I might return to...

Re: [Movies] Rogue One

Haven't seen Suicide Squad. Rogue One felt, to me, like many big budget effects movies, being all about a few particular scenes. The dialog and plot are weak in scene movies, just enough to set up the next big scene. Let's have a scene where they have to crawl out and get the data and they could fal...

Re: Pathfinder PBP - Master Of The Fallen Fortress

You can do a lot with the free Roll20 accounts. You can't use dynamic lighting and a couple of the other fancy things but all the basics are available (last I looked). I'm in a pbp game as a player that uses it to show maps and where everyone is located.

I can post a pdf of my character.

Re: People Annoy Me

Next time, tell them don't bother as you're just going to make an outfit from the meat anyway. Also, why do people block the whole 2-cart aisle with their carts? At certain stores this is constant. And they're often totally oblivious that they are in the way. They're probably the same people who go ...
