Re: We're going back to SPACE!
I've still got butteflies in my stomach until Bob and Doug get back(Chris too, for that matta!). But this looks like a bright new opportunity, allowing more science to be collected from the ISS for the last few years of it's lifespan.

Re: The Military
I'm all for revisiting our views of some of the founding fathers. And I'm all for revisiting the National Anthem. We absolutely need to have a discussion about these things, and there should be more acknowledgement of the role slavery played in the nation's founding and early history. That doesn't ...

Re: The Military
Missed this op-ed a couple weeks ago , but heartily agree: The US Army should rename all of its basis that were named for Confederate generals. Why would we want to honor racist, traitor losers, anyways? I dunno, We have guys like Alcorn, who devoted his post Civil War life to public education, and...

Re: We're going back to SPACE!
I'm watching the livestream right now, and one of the things that's amazing is how sleek and high tech the controls look: touch screens and a much smaller amount of displays and buttons and switches than the Shuttle. Which, i mean, it's 2020, not 1979. But, dang, that's a big deal.

We're going back to SPACE!
In about 4 or 5 hours, we're going to launch astronauts from american soil, into orbit, for the first time in 9 years! Is anyone else stoked about this?

Re: How is this possible?
Because you live in a country that was founded by slave owners who revolted to preserve theor ownership of slaves, and who were themselves educated in a mythology espousing the supremacy of the white race. All yoir life you have been lied to about the origins of your country, aboit why it exists and...
Re: Democrats

Re: A Republican Argument for Camps
So its perfectly valid then, for me to discount your opinion since you dont labor in the sun? Nah, that would be ridiculous. I wouldnt just discount your opinion because you lucked out on the draw of life. Thats the way the cookie crumbles, and im sure you have trials and tribulations of your own, r...

Re: A Republican Argument for Camps
I disagree with your original premise that this is a rational GOP voter. Honestly one of the closest things I have to one. The most rational Republican I know is a Texan who makes his money trading stocks at a leisurely clip. So a rich man who doesn’t work or actually produce anything. Someone deta...

Re: A Republican Argument for Camps
Obama's policies were bad, Trump's are worse. Ok, that's settled. So what do we do about it?
Unless you change the status of these undocumented people, they will remain an exploited underclass whose safety and wellbeing relies on us ignoring their existence. That seems less than ideal.

Fucking reform immigration. Close down the goddamned camps. Grant amnesty to those who are not violent criminals.

I don't generally give the CIA that much credit.

Re: Something you SHOULD be into but just can't
The Game of Thrones books. Pretty much everyone has touched on why I don't care for them. One of the other things is I just don't like how pretentious Martin is with the whole "realism" thing. Like everytime I read an interview or watch a panel where he's talking about his own genius, I ju...
Re: Democrats
the tl;dr is: lol, they're brown people, and we only care about brown people if they have oil or we can gain something by using them.
Re: Democrats
We're risk adverse. Americans coming home in black bags makes us sad and means we lack the will to do what it takes to win these sort of conflicts. We also don't have a dictatorship(yet), so the Chief executive actually has to get congressional approval on major military operations. We've also had t...
Re: Democrats
Two military strikes planned by career military officers, who it's reasonable to assume are competent at their job(if they're not, then we have greater problems than 45), required more assets to be used in a concentrated strike of questionable effectiveness, but your idea is to use a fraction of tha...
Re: Democrats
To answer the Assad question, worst mistake of Obama's administration, not behaving like a superpower. Guy gasses his people, again. Finally have pretty solid evidence that he did it. Without more than an hour warning, but with an hour warning, that we are going to respond, we cruise missile every ...

Oh man. That was funny. Now we can wait two decades for the nerds to tell us how it "really" ended. Ahahahahahahahaha.
Oh. good stuff. Good stuff.
Man pet doggo, all things good.
