Re: Guns

He also had communist symbols, Imperial Japanese symbols and... lol, Cthulu. Like, seriously, he looked like any other weird kid in school. Guess we're just gonna start rounding up the weird kids?

Prosecute the kid's father as an accomplice or accessory.

Re: Guns

That there are people in the highest levels of anti-gun leadership whose proposals are, again and again, gun grabs, not attempts to fix a problem.

Re: Guns

When I've heard of the "good ol days" of the NRA, back when it was truly a gun club and not as much a political tool, I've understood it to be somewhere before the early 80s, before the NRA began arguing about the 2nd amendment. Yeah man, but "gun club" prior to aroudn the time ...

Re: Guns

I think your idea of the "good ole days" of the NRA are somewhat imaginary and wistful. I'm a life-long firearms enthusiast, and, uh, I've never been an NRA fan. For a lot of reasons that are still oddly relevant now, even though they have done an ex ellent job at promoting Colin.

Re: Guns

So, uh, Oliver north? Not quite sure why the NRA felt the need to go completely insane. I killed the spoken word, that's fine. But, not sure about the angle here.

Re: Guns

Yeah, I'm one of them thar people. Or atleast I pointed out that the school officials and sherrif's office failed their responsibility and obligation. The problem with the Promise program stems less from it as a whole, and to a specific example of a school and law enforcement system that played the ...

Re: Trump

I don't get it. The D's have the numbers advantage in most areas and should push it hard. You don't win unless you run candidates that fire people up to go vote. You'd also think the party would be walking the districts, building phone/car ride trees and a small army of people to help the elderly D...

Re: Guns

18 year olds are not "kids". The are adults, with all the legal rights and responsibilities that entails. When you have to sign up for selective services when you turn 18 in order to exercise your right to vote, you cannot tell me that it is ethical to therefore deny you the full rights of...

Re: Trump

Progressive candidate near me being screwed over because the party leaders don't understand that hard GOP voters won't switch to their pro choice anti Trump "moderate" anyway, but heavy turnout from D's wins that race, and that's only happening for a progressive. One of my friends, who is...

Re: Guns

Weird how a program fails a single child and it ought to be revisted or scrapped, while gun ownership is sacred and immune to criticism. Chicago has poorly written laws. The penalties for gun possession are less than the penalty exacted by the gang for surrendering the gun, for example. Nothing hum...

Re: Putting an animal down.

Things die. Sometimes you die. It happens. Sometimes it's too painful to live. Sometimes it's just pointless. I can barely keep myself alive, so I don't keep animals. Hell, I don't really keep plants, I just help tend them. I don't judge other people for what they do. I mean, I do, but I don't talk ...

Re: Giving up as we get older.

I don't really have this problem. I will debate a brick wall. On the other hand, some things have changed, especially my opinions of some people. Some have been positive changes, while others have been negative. The weird thing is that some people who I would have argued with in a heartbeat a few ye...
